Located in the Central Sierra Foothill community of Tuolumne, it is one of the oldest and most beautiful cemeteries in California.
Dating back to the earliest days of the California Gold Rush. The oldest grave site is dated June 1854. Carter’s Cemetery has been the final resting place for many generations of Tuolumne County residents.
